1. 80% of the people who bitch and moan about agile have never had the actual experience of working in a real agile shop. The remaining 20% either wrote books about it early on, and/or have since faded into the woodwork to distance themselves from the other 80%.
2. 80% of the people who have proper agile experience have legitimate criticisms against it; the remaining 20% became certified SCRUM masters and are cashing in on the consulting business.
3. 80% of the projects in the commercial software industry are ill-suited for agile as most know it, and are better off with a lean methodology instead; of the remaining 20%, 80% of those are silently celebrated within the organization then transitioned into the initial batch of 80%, while the remaining 20% are flagship projects that are documented in SEI publications that nobody reads.
